Paramount Ranch was established in 1920 as a moviemaking studio where dozens of early film classics were created. Over the next several decades, the property evolved into a beloved community event space and recreation spot that was destroyed in the 2018 Woolsey Fire. Acquired in 1981 by the National Park Service, Paramount Ranch is still used as a place to make TV shows and films. Funds raised will help SAMO Fund provide the money needed to complete the $12m restoration project being managed by NPS. These funds will be used to restore the burnt film sets on the site, fit out the restored historic buildings and provide materials to interpret the Ranch’s history for future generations. Donations will be matched 1:1 by the Federal Government up to $400k. More information: https://samofund.org/paramount-project.

“The Biggest Little Farm” chronicles the eight-year quest of Moorpark, CA couple, John and Molly Chester, as they trade city living for 200 acres of barren farmland and a dream to harvest in harmony with nature. Through dogged perseverance and embracing the opportunity provided by nature's conflicts, the Chester’s unlock and uncover a biodiverse design for living that exists far beyond their farm, its seasons, and our wildest imagination. Featuring breathtaking cinematography, captivating animals, and an urgent message to heed Mother Nature’s call, “The Biggest Little Farm” provides us all a vital blueprint for better living and a healthier planet. The film is a Diamond Docs production written by John Chester and Mark Monroe, directed by Chester and produced by Chester, Sandra Keats, Laurie Lennard and Erica Messer. Neon Rated is distributor.

The Santa Monica Mountains Fund (SAMO) is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It is the official non-profit of the National Park Service in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.
